SUPPORTING PRIVATE AND BUSINESS TRIP CATEGORIZATION
For customers with private trip functionality, we added the ability to hide private data in places it would normally be shown. Private trips will hide location data, trip start and stop times, harsh events, geofence alerts, and speeding data. Business trips will report all data as iOn currently does. This private/business trip categorization has been implemented as follows:
- Trip categorization (private versus business) can be enabled at the group level: We added a new Override Inherited Trip Categorization Setting toggle to the Add/Edit Group dialog box. When you select this, you will be given radio buttons of Enable Trip Categorization and Disable Trip Categorization.
- Certain roles will be able to view a new Trip List screen, which lists trips by type, driver, date, beginning and end addresses, start and end time, and miles driven. The values will be displayed as “Hidden” for users who cannot view the trips being shown. On this page, drivers will be able to change the trip type from business to private (and vice versa).
- We changed the Add Driver dialog box so that it can be used to both add a driver and to associate that driver with an iOn user in your organization. That user would have a Driver role (which would give them access to the Trip List screen).
- We added a Driver column to the Admin - Users screen, which can be added via the column selector. This will show if the iOn user has a Driver role assigned to them.
VIEWING BASIC SAFETY DATA
For Vision customers with roles that can’t view their videos, we added a Safety Basic Dashboard. The data is similar to the Safety Dashboard (see this article for details) but doesn’t have the links to view video captures.
ADDED SFTP SERVER OPTIONS TO THE BETA REPORTS SCHEDULER
We added SFTP server options (Archive To, Archive Path, and Override Existing Files) to the beta version of the reports scheduler so that you can specify a server to archive the scheduled report to.
LIMITED BETA GROUP
The beta reports scheduler is available for just for a few customers who have agreed to test it out while it is still in beta. Most iOn users will NOT see the new reports scheduler.
VIEWING ACCOUNT IDS ON THE ADMIN - GROUPS SCREEN
We added an ID column to the Admin - Groups page, which will show the account ID number. This won’t be displayed by default but can be added via the column-selection feature.
