CHOOSING TWO ASSET LABEL TYPES ON THE TRACKING SCREEN

On the Tracking screen, we improved the Fleet Assets area of the Map Layers widget by expanding the capabilities of the Label Content choices (which are Asset Name, Asset Alias, Driver Name, and Driver Alias). You can now choose two labels; your first selection will be the primary label, displayed first.

MORE VISIBLE HISTORY PATH LINES

On the Tracking screen, we have made the history path lines thicker so that they are easier to see — for both mapping asset history and viewing activity with the History layer.

IMPROVED GROUP CHOOSER NAVIGATION

On the Tracking screen, when you are mapping input activity using the History layer, you will see that we moved the directional arrows on the assets’ path lines from the connecting lines to the input event markers so that you can better see which direction each asset was heading.

We improved how the Group Chooser handles selecting subgroups, which will make it easier for customers with multiple levels in their group hierarchy to find the child group they need. Instead of placing subgroups under an indented expansion section, we now will display  to the right of the group name, under which you will find its subgroups.

RECEIVING ALERTS IN ITALIAN OR JAPANESE

We added new options to the SMS/Email Language drop-down list of the Add/Edit Notification dialog box, Italian and Japanese, which will enable you to select those as the language in which you would like to receive the notification. We have also updated our email alert templates to support Italian and Japanese.

ZOOMING TO YOUR FILTERED AREA

On the Tracking screen, after you map an asset’s history and then return to Live tracking, you will now see that the map zooms to the extent of any filters or assets you chose. (Previously, the map would zoom out to the extent of your map home area.)

PERSISTING DESELECTED MAP LAYERS AND VISUALLY SHOWING WHEN THEY ARE DISABLED

On the Tracking screen, we changed the behavior of the Map Layers widget so that if you disable all layers, that will persist across user sessions. (Previously, the Fleet Assets and Cargo Assets layers would be reenabled across sessions.)

In addition, we’ve changed the Map Layers icon in the toolbar to indicate that the widget has been disabled ().

IMPROVED THE SNOOZE FEATURE FOR ALERTS

In the Add/Edit Notification dialog box, we changed the label of the snooze feature added in release 3.6 to Snooze Duration Hours (1-24) to make the value being added clearer. (See CalAmp 3.6 Release Notes (November 3, 2023) for more details.)

IMPROVED THE VIDEO-REQUEST FEATURE

For our CalAmp Vision customers, we have changed the label of the submit button in the Request Video dialog box to Submit Request.
