You can delete a geofence if you find your organization no longer needs it or if it was added in error on either the Admin - Geofences screen (see Deleting a Geofence) or the Tracking screen. For the latter, follow these steps:

Caution! Make sure that you definitely will not need to use the geofence in the future; there's no undoing a deletion after it's removed from the CalAmp application. If you later discover that you do require a deleted geofence, you'll have to re-create it from scratch (as shown in Creating a Geofence on the Tracking Screen).

  1. In the Group Chooser, select the group the geofence you want to delete is assigned to. (See Choosing a Group to View Globally for details on how to change your chosen group, if necessary.)

  2. In the sidebar menu on the left, click .

    The Tracking screen will open.

By default, the geofence view is turned off, so your geofences may not be visible when the map first appears. If this is the case, you can enable them by clicking  on the vertical toolbar at the top right of the map and then selecting the Geofence toggle. (This setting will persist across user sessions, so if you enable geofence visibility and then log out, when you log back in again, you will continue to be able to see your geofences.)

  3. In the filter options at the top of the screen, click the Geofences drop-down arrow.
Note: If you don't see the Geofences filter, that could be because it is being housed under the More Filters option; if your browser window isn't wide enough to accommodate all the available filters, More Filters will contain all of those that don't fit.

If that's the case for you, click the More Filters drop-down arrow and then Geofences.
A list of the geofences in your selected group (and its parents and subgroups) will be displayed.

  4. Select the check box of the geofence you need to delete. ( means selected, and  deselected.)
Note: If the list is large, you can click  and type search criteria for the geofence. (Search matches will be highlighted.)
  5. Click Done.

The map will display the geofence you chose and zoom in on it.

  6. Click within the geofence's border.

    A pop-up will appear.

  7. Click Edit.

The Edit Geofence dialog box will open.

  8. Click Delete at the bottom of the dialog box.
WARNING! There is no confirmation dialog box. This will immediately remove the geofence from the CalAmp application.
A success message will appear briefly at the bottom of the screen, informing you that the geofence has been deleted.
