Asset Analytics Detail


The Asset Analytics Detail report provides basic information about asset usage, including distance driven, total stops, engine hours, idling time, work time versus expected work time, utilization percentage, locations, and geofences, on a day-to-day basis. Here are the columns that are displayed by default:

The date being reported on

The asset’s alias (if your organization uses aliases and has entered them)
Asset Name
The name of the asset
Asset Type
The type of asset, such as Vehicle or Trailer
Asset Category
The category of the asset
Distance Driven
The distance driven, based on odometer readings reported to iOn
Total Stops
The total number of stops, including stops within a trip and work/trip stops
Total Engine Time (Hrs)
The total engine time in hours
Total Idle Time (Hrs)
The total idle time, including working and waste idle time
Total Work Time (Hrs)
The total work time, calculated as the total engine hours minus the total idle hours (as reported by the device)
Expected Work Time (Hrs)
By default, eight hours (but can be modified for your account)
% Utilization
The percentage of usage for the asset — the total work time divided by the total expected time (if the day is an active day)
Idle % of Engine Time
The percentage of engine time that was spent idling — the total idle time divided by the total engine time
Initial On Time
The timestamp of the first ignition on event received for the day
Last Off Time
The timestamp of the last ignition off event received for the day
Asset Time Zone
The time zone of the group
Ending Engine Hours Meter (Hrs)
The last engine hours meter value received for the day
Ending Odometer
The last odometer reading received for the day
Last Reported Location Time
The last reported location time (with a format of YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS)
Last Reported Location
The asset's last reported location
Geofence
The last geofence the asset drove through that day


These are the columns you can add when you customize the report:

The license plate number, for vehicle assets
License State
The state the license plate is registered to, for vehicle assets
Make
The vehicle make
Model
The vehicle model
Fuel Type
The type of fuel defined for the asset, such as Gasoline or Diesel
Fuel Tank Capacity
The capacity of the asset's fuel tank (if entered)
EPA Highway
The asset's fuel efficiency on the highway
EPA City
The asset's fuel efficiency on city streets
EPA Combined
The asset's fuel efficiency on the highway and city streets combined
Device ESN
The LMU's electronic serial number
Device Model
The model of the device
Normal Utilized Time (Hrs)
The total engine time, if it is less than the expected work time; otherwise, the expected work time
Over Utilized Time (Hrs)
The number of hours over if the total engine time is more than the expected work time
GPS Odometer
The last GPS odometer value received for the day
True Odometer
The last VBUS/ODB odometer value received for the day
Work Stops
The total number of work stops (a stop is designated as a work or trip stop if the idling is over five minutes)
Total Stop Time
The total time of all types of stops
Moving Time
The calculated duration of all messages received with the Moving event, meaning that the asset is in motion (and not being towed)
Travel Time
The total trip time, if a trip has been detected
Working Idle Time
The idle time that has been flagged as working, based on the input configuration
Waste Idle Time
The idle time that has been flagged as unnecessary for the driver's tasks (thus causing waste through excess fuel usage and cost)
# Speeding Events
The total number of Speed events reported to iOn
Posted Speed Violations
The total number of events reported to iOn that had a speed of five mph or more over the detected speed limit (consecutive speeding events are considered as one violation)
Fuel Consumed
The total fuel consumed, if the vehicle reports fuel data and is connected to VBUS
Fuel Consumed Idling
The total fuel consumed during Idling events
Fuel Efficiency
The total distance driven divided by the total fuel consumed
Starting Fuel Percent
How much fuel is in the tank (reported as a percentage of its capacity) at the beginning of the day
Ending Fuel Percent
How much fuel is in the tank (reported as a percentage of its capacity) at the end of the day
Year (Manufacturing)
The year the vehicle was manufactured (if entered for the asset)
Reports VIN
The last reported VIN
Reports Speed
Whether the asset's speed is reported to iOn, with values of true and false (based on vehicle bus capability)
Reports Odometer
Whether the asset's odometer reading is reported to iOn, with values of true and false (based on vehicle bus capability)
Reports Fuel
Whether the fuel percentage is reported to iOn, with values of true and false (based on vehicle bus capability)
Engine Run Time Supported
Whether the engine run time is reported to iOn, with values of true and false (based on vehicle bus capability)
Last True Engine Hours
The last VBUS engine hours value reported
Last GPS Engine Hours
The last GPS engine hours value reported
Input [1-7] Name
The name of the input connected to input port [1-7]
Input [1-7] On
The total time input [1-7] was active
Input [1-7] On Distance
The total distance the asset traveled while input [1-7] was active
Input [1-7] Off Distance
The total distance the asset traveled while input [1-7] was inactive
Group Level [1-8]
The name of the group in that level, as defined by your organization's hierarchy (for example, if you enable the Group Level 1 and Group Level 2 columns, the name of the highest-level group above the asset's group will be in the Group Level 1 column and the next highest in the Group Level 2 column)


Asset Analytics Summary


The Asset Analytics Summary report provides basic, aggregated information about asset usage, including distance driven, total stops, engine hours, idling time, work time versus expected work time, utilization percentage, and odometer, for the course of the time range. Here are the columns that are displayed by default:

Engine On Time (Hrs)

The total engine time divided by the number of days
Total Idle Time (Hrs)
The total idle time, including working and waste idle time

Idle % of Engine Time

The number of days multiplied by the expected work time each day (set at eight hours by default, but this can be modified for your account)
% Utilization
The percentage of usage for the asset — the total work time divided by the total expected time (if the day is an active day)
Normal Utilized Time (Hrs)
The total engine time, if it is less than the expected work time; otherwise, the expected work time
Over Utilized Time (Hrs)
The number of hours over if the total engine time is more than the expected work time
Avg. Initial On Time (Hrs)
The average hours derived from the first ignition on event
Avg. Last Off Time (Hrs)
The average hours derived from the last ignition off event
Ending Engine Hours Meter
The highest engine hours meter value received for the time range
Ending Odometer
The highest odometer reading received for the date range

The total time of all types of stops

The total fuel consumed, if the vehicle reports fuel data and is connected to VBUS

The total engine time in hours

There are no columns to add when customizing the Idle Detail report, as all the available ones are enabled by default.

The Idle Summary report returns aggregated information about asset and driver idling for the course of the time range. Here are the columns that are displayed by default:

There are no columns to add when customizing the Idle Summary report, as all the available ones are enabled by default.


Vehicle Summary View


The Vehicle Summary View report provides a summary of vehicle information for a date range you specify. It is often used to find the last location and last odometer reading reported by vehicles. Because it was designed for calculating results dynamically based on an entered date range, it can't be scheduled. Here are the columns that are displayed by default:
