The Dashboard provides key information about your fleet's overall performance in an at-a-glance view. There are different ways to customize the data that is displayed: by using the
on individual widgets to make modifications such as changing which columns are shown or by using the Filters panel to limit the data to just certain conditions. These are shown in the two sections below. (Skip down to the "Applying Filters" section to see how to use the filters.)
First, though, is the Group Hierarchy widget at the top, which enables you to change the subgroups whose results are being displayed (by default, the data from all the subgroups of the group selected in the Group Chooser will be included), as follows:
- Click the Select Groups drop-down arrow.
- Click the Expand All icon (
) to show the entirety of your group hierarchy.
By default, all the subgroups of the group you have chosen in the Group Chooser, plus the parent group itself, will be selected.
Note: If you want to view data of a group above the parent group, change the group you have specified in the Group Chooser, as shown in Choosing a Group to View Globally. If you want to view a group that is above your assigned group in your account hierarchy, you'll need to obtain different permissions from your organization's iOn administrator. - Deselect the check boxes of any subgroups you don't want to include.
Note: You can scroll down to find the check boxes to uncheck or enter part of the group name in the search box. After you have typed a few characters, the tree will be limited to only groups with matching criteria.
To choose only a few child groups, you can deselect Select All above the list and then check the boxes of the ones you want. - Click outside of the Group Hierarchy box.
The update icon (
) will appear at the top right of the widgets.
- Click
to reload the results.
Data will be shown for only the subgroups you selected.
Changing the Columns for Individual Tiles
To edit a single widget, such as change the columns shown, follow these steps:
Note: You should only use this method on the Fleet Safety section's Harsh Events Summary Table widget and on the Safety Score section's Driver Score Card Summary and Driver Score Monthly Breakdown tables. The
icon appears on the other tiles, but there really isn't much use to the modifications you can make to them.
- At the top right of the tile, click
.
The column-editing options for the widget will be displayed.
- If you don't want a column to be displayed, in the left pane, click its toggle to deselect it. (
means selected, and
deselected.)
If there are grayed out columns, this means that they aren't currently being included in the results. You can add one by clicking its toggle to select it.
Note: As soon as you add or remove a column by clicking its toggle,
will appear. You can continue choosing the columns to be displayed until you have gone through the whole list, ignoring the icon until you want to update the displayed results.
Make sure that you scroll down in the pane of column names to see all the available ones! - You can click
when you are finished to apply your column customization to the Dashboard results.
- When you are finished with your modifications, click Apply above the results (at the top right).
The column changes will persist across sessions, so even after you log out and log back in again, you'll still see your custom column configuration.
Applying Filters
When you open the Safety Beta Dashboard, it will be populated with data for the last seven days for all your groups, all your drivers, all your assets, all device types, and all harsh event types, but you can change the date range and limit other results by using the Filters panel on the right as follows:
- To change the time period of results, follow these steps:
- Mouse over the top right of the Date Range pane.
will appear.
- Click
.
The Date Range filter will be displayed.
- To display all the data iOn still has in storage (as far back as possible) on the Dashboard, select Include All (No Filter Applied). Then skip down to step h.
- To select specific years, quarters, months, weeks, or days, click the Year drop-down arrow and click one of the options. Then click the Select drop-down arrow and check the boxes of the time segments you need. (For Day, you will choose the days on a calendar picker.) You can click Select All to include all the options. Then skip down to step h.
Note: The Hour (Aggregated) and 15-Min (Aggregated) options currently aren't functioning. - To choose a certain number of days, weeks, months, or quarters, leave Last selected for its drop-down list, click the 7 up-down arrow and select the count you need, and then click the Days drop-down arrow and select the new time value. Then skip down to step h.
Note: You can select This and then a time value (such as Month) to receive results from just the beginning of that time frame up until now. The Next option, unfortunately, does NOT provide future results (and is just a leftover from similar dialog boxes). If the Including Current check box is selected, the current day, week, month, or quarter will be included in the results. (Make sure that this is deselected if you don't want today's [for example] activity to be reported as well.) - You can set a certain time range by clicking the From calendar picker, choosing the beginning date on the calendar, and then selecting the end date. (Click outside the picker to close it.) Then skip down to step h.
- You can choose specific time conditions to include or exclude from the results by first clicking the Is Not drop-down arrow, selecting from these options, and performing the following steps:
- Is Not: To exclude the conditions you will enter from the results. Click the Year drop-down arrow and click one of the options. Then click the Select drop-down arrow and check the boxes of the time segments you want to leave out. (For Day, you will choose the days on a calendar picker.) You can click Select All for all the options.
For example, if you know of a day of the month that will have unusual activity (such as a company holiday), you might choose Is Not/Day/that holiday's date to prevent it from being a part of the results.
The results will include all the days, months, or such EXCEPT those you specify.
- Is: To show ONLY the conditions you will enter. Follow the instructions for Is Not, but in this case the results will include all the days, months, or such that you DID specify.
- Is Within: To include results within a specific range of conditions. Click the 1 up-down arrow and select the count you need; click the Year drop-down arrow and select Year, Quarter, Month, Week, or Day; select Before or After in the next drop-down list; and specify a date using the calendar picker.
For example, if someone reported objectionable driver activity but only had a general idea of the date it occurred, you might choose Is Within/2/Weeks/Before/the date they did provide to return Safety results for that two-week time span.
Note: Currently the Top and Bottom options aren't functioning. They're designed to display only the highest and lowest values of the conditions specified.
- Click Apply.
The update icon (
) will appear to the left of the Filters panel.
