REMOVED THE LEGACY REPORTS

We have removed the legacy reports. We hope you have had a chance to get familiar with our new reporting system, which offers better performance, navigation, filtering, data visualization, and exporting capabilities.

RESOURCES FOR TRAINING ON THE NEW REPORTS

You can find help articles on how to run, schedule, and customize the new reports at Using the New Reports Engine.

You can register for a webinar with live training on the new reports at CalAmp New Analytics & Reporting.

In addition, you can find a video walkthrough of the newly upgraded reports offering at CalAmp Application Analytics & Reports.

Do not hesitate to contact your CalAmp customer success manager with any questions or feedback!

SUPPORTING LOGGING IN AND OUT VIA SSO

For single sign-on (SSO) customers, we updated the login and logout process as follows:

  • The login screen will begin with only the Username field; as that is processed, CalAmp will detect if your organization has IdP (identity provider) authentication and then direct you to the IdP instead of presenting you with the standard login fields.
  • To log out, you will choose Log Out from your profile drop-down as before, but now you will also have the IdP token revoked.

RESETTING A FORGOTTEN PASSWORD FOR STANDARD LOGINS

Due to the update to the login process for SSO, if your organization does NOT use SSO (and therefore you are logging in with a CalAmp username and password), you will find a slight change to the process of resetting your password from the login screen via the Forgot Password? option; that will now appear on the second page (as the first screen will have just the Username field).

NEW HANDLING FOR THE DEVICES DASHBOARD

We have reworked the Devices Dashboard to use smart search and the new reports engine. You’ll find the same widgets and data that was previously available.

REPLACING THE FLEET DASHBOARD PERMISSION WITH THE UTILIZATION DASHBOARD

In the Add/Edit Role dialog box’s Features section, we changed the Fleet permission under “Dashboard Page” to Utilization, which will give the role access to the Utilization Dashboard. (The Fleet Dashboard was removed in release 3.12; when that existed, its permission also granted roles access to the Utilization Dashboard.)

REMOVED THE VOLUME ICON FROM VIDEOS

For our CalAmp Vision customers, we have removed the  icon from the Vision pane of Asset Details, the Vision window, and the video pop-up, as the cameras don’t support recording audio (and this icon suggested to users that they did).

LAUNCHING THE GATEWAY HISTORY REPORT

For customers with cargo-monitoring devices, we changed how you access the Gateway History report: You now click  on the sidebar menu and then Gateway History on the flyout menu that appears.

LAUNCHING THE TIRE SENSOR REPORT FROM ASSET DETAILS

For customers using our TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) sensors, we replaced the report launched via the View Full Report link at the bottom of the Asset Details pane with the Tire Sensor report of our new reporting engine.
