SEARCHING FOR ASSETS USING THEIR LICENSE PLATE NUMBERS

On the Tracking screen, you can now perform a search for an asset using its license plate number. The license number will appear after the asset name in the search results.

NOTE: This requires that license plate numbers be added for your assets on the Admin - Assets screen.

IMPROVED PROCESS FOR ENTERING BADGE/FOB IDS

In the Add/Edit Driver dialog box, we changed the Badge/Fob box to be two fields: a drop-down list with choices of iButton and Other and the field for the ID number.

If you are scanning IDs to enter the badge numbers for iButtons, you will see that the CalAmp application now automatically formats the resulting value for you. (These scans produce 16 characters, but the first and last two aren’t actually part of the ID number; only the middle 12 characters are the actual iButton ID. We now automatically trim the superfluous non-ID characters for scanned iButton ID entries.)

IMPROVED DESIGN FOR THE NOTIFICATION COUNT IN THE SITE BANNER

We updated how the notification count appears in the site banner (as a number next to the bell icon) to make sure that the number and its circle won’t be cut off at the top – by making the circle an oval for two-digit numbers and moving the count to the top right of the bell.

CHOOSING THE APPLICABLE GROUP WHEN CREATING GEOFENCE EVENT NOTIFICATIONS

When you create or edit a geofence event notification, you will now find that only geofences that are in the group selected for the alert will be available in the Triggers/Geofence Name drop-down list, which will make it easier for you to choose the geofence you need. (Technically, your other geofences will also appear in the list, but they will be grayed out and unselectable.)

IMPROVED GENERIC SENSOR HISTORY REPORT PARAMETERS

For customers with trailers using cargo sensors, we added a Unit of Measurement drop-down list to the Generic Sensor History report’s Options pane.

In addition, we are now limiting the Sensor Type filter to show only sensors your organization has in use.

CONSISTENT DISPLAY OF BADGE/FOB IDS IN DRIVER REPORTS

We have made the formatting of driver badge/keyfob IDs consistent for the Invalid Keyfob and Driver Scorecard reports. (Previously, the Invalid Keyfob report would show 00001C1BC12D for an ID [for example], but the Driver Scorecard reports would show just 1C1BC12D; now both will display 00001C1BC12D.)

DISPLAYING ONLY ASSETS WITH ACTUAL STOPS IN THE STOP REPORTS

The Stop Detail View and Stop Summary View reports will now show Stop Duration and Stop Time values only for assets that had valid trips and trip stops. (Previously, any asset with an Alive event would be included in these reports, even if they had no movement or stop events.)
