OPTIMIZED LOGIN PROCESS

We optimized the login process by removing extra calls for roles, so the application will take less time to load.

IMPROVED FIND NEARBY RESULTS

On the Tracking screen, we made the results of a Find Nearby search more user-friendly by making the distance from the original asset more visible in the pane – with its own Distance row clearly spelling out how far the found asset is (such as “5 mi away”).

IMPROVED BRAKE CHAMBER DATA IN THE SENSOR SUMMARY PANE

For customers with trailers using cargo sensors, we improved the Brake Chamber data in the Sensor Summary pane of Asset Details by specifying if the parking brake is engaged or released.

VIEWING GEOFENCE EVENTS FOR CARGO

For our cargo-monitoring (supply-chain) customers, we have added geofence events triggered by cargo devices to the Geofence Events screen, plus a new Device column that will show the device names. Note that this column isn’t displayed by default but can be added via the column selector.

DISABLING NOTIFICATION MENU ACTIONS FOR UNAUTHORIZED USERS

On the Admin - Notifications screen, for users who don’t have permissions to create certain types of alerts, we changed the overflow menu to disable (and gray out) the Edit Notification, Clone Notification, and Delete Notification options.

DISABLING AUTOMATIC REFRESH ON THE DASHBOARDS

We turned off the automatic page refresh on the Dashboards so that any configurations you’ve made to the data (such as widget selections or detailed views) won’t be lost when the screen reloads.

DISABLING UNWANTED REFRESHES FOR MOBILE DEVICES

For mobile devices, we turned off the capability to pull down from the top of the screen to refresh the page so that you don’t lose the action you were performing or the data you were viewing. In addition, we added handling that will bypass the automatic page reloads devices perform when they lose and then restore network connectivity.

RECALCULATING UTILIZATION DATA

We’ve changed how we calculate utilization, which will affect any report or Dashboard that shows this data. Now, we no longer include working idle time in the formula, so utilization is figured using the total engine time minus the total waste idle time only.

IMPROVED PSL REPORTS

We improved the PSL (posted speed limit) reports as follows:

  • We added an Over Speed Limit Threshold filter to the Posted Speed Violation Summary View report’s parameters, plus a new Total Posted Speed Violation Messages column to the results, which will show the total PSL violation message count.
  • We grouped continuous PSL violations as a single occurrence for the Posted Speed Violation Detail View report (instead of showing them as multiple violations) and added a Posted Speed Violation Number column to the results, which will show the number of violation message groups for that day.

USING YOUR PREFERRED UNIT OF MEASUREMENT BY DEFAULT

We updated the Unit of Measurement filters for all the reports to automatically select your default unit of measurement. (This included adding Imperial UK to all the filters, as not all of them previously had that option.)

DISPLAYING THE TIME ZONE IN THE ASSET HISTORY REPORT

We added a Time Zone column to the results of the Asset History report (not mapping history, but the actual report of that name), which will display the time zone used for the event date and time.
