IMPROVED IMPLEMENTATION OF DIRECTIONAL MARKERS FOR ASSET HISTORY

When you map asset history, you will now see directional arrows on the event markers instead of on the connecting lines so that you can more clearly view which direction the assets are traveling along the trip path lines. In addition, we’ve improved the look of the arrows, have implemented unique markers for Trip Start () and Stop () events, and have made harsh event arrow circles red.

REDESIGNED GPS SIGNAL ICON

On the Tracking screen, we redesigned how the GPS signal is indicated: We removed the GPS Signal row from the asset card in the Assets list and the “Not Current” text from the asset pop-up window, replacing them with a GPS icon (to the left of the location for both). If this icon appears, it means that the asset’s GPS signal is not current or reliable. (If the asset has never received a signal, the Location value will be replaced with “No GPS” in the asset card — and no asset pop-up will appear on the map.)

ADDED A DEVICE TYPE COLUMN TO TRACKING

We added a Device Type column to the Tracking screen’s grid that will show what type of device is assigned to the asset (such as an LMU-3030); this won’t be visible by default but can be added via the column-selection feature.

CHANGED HOW THE TIME ZONE IS ADDED FOR A GROUP

Previously, the Time Zone field of the Add/Edit Group dialog box had a Browser Default option, but this led to inconsistent timestamps in different areas of the application. Now, this required field will default to the time zone of the parent group (or you can choose a specific time zone for the new group from the drop-down list). Also, we’ve added a Time Zone column to the Admin - Groups grid, which isn’t displayed by default but can be selected.

RENAMED THE SHIPMENT HISTORY REPORT

We changed the name of the Shipment History report to “Gateway History.”
