ASSIGNING MULTIPLE DEVICES TO AN ASSET

We made it possible to assign more than one device to an asset. Note that this requires adding them individually in the Add/Edit Asset dialog box. (You add one and then another, rather than select multiple in the Device drop-down list or detailed device list.)

IMPROVED THE LOOK AND USABILITY OF THE WIDGETS ON THE TRACKING SCREEN

On the Tracking screen, we resized the widgets you access via the top-right toolbar (Search Map, Create Geofence, Map Layers, Basemaps, and Map Views) to make them take less screen real estate and improved their look and feel. For example, here’s how the new Map Layers widget will appear:

VIEWING TRIP DISTANCE AND DURATION WHEN MAPPING ASSET HISTORY

We improved the data provided when mapping asset history for a trip’s distance and duration (the time the asset traveled for the entirety of the trip). The Distance column will now show the unit of measure with the value (such as “91 miles”), and the Duration column will show the time in the HH:MM:SS format.

VIEWING TRAILER SENSOR DATA IN A SINGLE DETAILS PANE

For customers with trailers using cargo sensors, we improved how the sensor data is displayed in the Asset Details pane. You will now be able to see all the sensor data in a single pane, Sensor Summary, including door open/closed, tire pressure, and hub and tire temperature (depending on which sensors you have).

When you select one reading, more details will be displayed.

SHOWING WHEN ASSETS DON’T HAVE A GPS SIGNAL

On the Tracking screen, we added an indicator to asset cards and asset pop-up windows that will show if the asset currently doesn’t have a GPS signal; these will read “Not Current” in red. (If the asset has never had a GPS signal, the message will be “No GPS.”)
