COLLAPSING THE SIDEBAR MENU

We added a Collapse option at the bottom left of the iOn user interface that enables you to collapse the sidebar menu to just an icon view (hiding the menu option names) so that you can have more window real estate for the screen items. This will persist across user sessions, so when you log out and back in again, you’ll see the same collapsed or expanded view you last chose.

DISPLAYING THE TRACKING SCREEN GRID AT A DEFAULT HEIGHT

We changed the Tracking screen so that the default height for the grid at the bottom of the page will be 40 percent of the available window height, giving 60 percent to the map. If you change how tall the grid is, however, by clicking and dragging the handle between the map and grid, the height you specify will still persist across user sessions.

VIEWING AN EVENT’S DETAILS ON THE NOTIFICATION EVENTS SCREEN

On the Notification Events screen, we added a View option to the overflow menu that will open a dialog box with an event’s details, including the asset name, event date, and email recipients.

VIEWING GEOFENCE EVENTS WHEN MAPPING ASSET HISTORY

We added Entered Geofence and Exited Geofence as events that are automatically included when you map asset history.

REMOVED THE NEGATIVE SPACE ON THE SIDES OF THE MAP WHEN ZOOMING OUT

Previously, when you zoomed out to the maximum scale on the map screens, iOn would display empty gray space to the left and right of the map. Now, that space has been eliminated, so the map will expand over the full width of your browser window.

MANUALLY ADDING THE DATE AND TIME WHEN ADDING OR EDITING AN ASSET

In the Add/Edit Asset dialog box, you can now manually type the date and time for all the date/time fields (instead of using the calendar/time picker).

VIEWING AN ASSET’S SPEED IN THE ASSET HISTORY REPORT

In the Asset History report, we added the speed the asset was traveling at the time of the event to the pop-up that appears on the map when you select an event’s row in the grid.

VIEWING TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY VALUES FOR SUPPLY CHAIN DEVICES ON THE TRACKING SCREEN

For our customers with supply chain devices, we added two new sections to the iOn Tag Details pane on the Tracking screen (that will appear only if the device has the appropriate type of sensor):

  • Temperature: For tag devices STAG04HT and STAG09XT, the pane will display the current temperature, the time the reading was reported, and a graph of the past 24 hours of temperature data.
  • Humidity: For the tag device STAG04HT, the pane will show the current percentage humidity value, the time the reading was reported, and a graph of the past 24 hours of humidity data.

VIEWING THE CURRENT STATUS FOR ION TAGS IN THE ASSET DETAILS PANE

For customers with iOn Tags, we fixed an issue with the Tracking screen’s Asset Details pane that would inaccurately report some tags as “Disconnected” in the Tools list.

FOLLOWING AN ASSET ON THE MAP

In release 3.0.43, we improved the Tracking screen by having the map pan to follow a selected asset as it moves. This capability has been optimized to keep better focus on the asset.

VIEWING A SPECIFIC TRIP IN THE ASSET HISTORY REPORT

In the Asset History report, we fixed the ability to view a single trip on the map by clicking its row in the grid. Now, just the selected trip will be highlighted on the map, and the rest of the path lines will become gray.
