IMPROVED ASSET HISTORY REPORT FEATURES

The Asset History report has been improved in several ways:

  • Trips will now be automatically disabled if the assets have no ignition data (such as trailers).
  • Applied filters and configuration will now persist throughout your user session. So if you navigate to a different screen away from the Asset History report, you can return to it where you left off.
  • You can now hide or display the summary cards individually.
  • We improved the export of the grid data by including all the values for all columns in the CSV.

FOLLOWING AN ASSET ON THE MAP

On the Tracking screen, when you select an asset, the map will now pan to follow it as it moves.

IMPROVED TRACKING SCREEN GEOFENCES FILTER

On the Tracking screen, we improved how the Geofences filter is rendered on the map. The Tracking screen will now zoom to the level of only the geofences included in the filter. (Previously, it would show all the geofences and remained zoomed out on them.)

VIEWING GEOFENCES THROUGHOUT YOUR GROUP HIERARCHY ON THE ADMIN - GEOFENCES SCREEN

On the Admin - Geofences screen, you can now view geofences assigned to groups higher and lower than the one you have selected in the Group Chooser (all its ancestors and descendants) if they are not restricted. Note that geofences belonging to groups higher in the hierarchy will be visible but not editable.

CREATING GEOFENCE EVENT NOTIFICATIONS FOR ALL THE GEOFENCES IN A GROUP

When you create a new geofence event notification, you no longer have to enter a specific geofence. You can have the alert sent for any asset in the selected group (and its subgroups, if the notification is set to be inheritable) entering or exiting any geofences. (Note that you still have the option to specify a single geofence; it is just not a requirement now.)

VIEWING CHARGING STATIONS ON THE TRACKING SCREEN

On the Tracking screen, we added a new toggle to the Map Layers widget, Charge Stations, which will enable you to view electric vehicle charging stations on the map. Clicking a station’s map icon will provide its name, address, connector type, operating hours, whether it’s public or private, and the number of connectors.

VIEWING AN ASSET’S ENGINE TYPE IN THE ASSET GRID

On the Tracking screen, we added an Engine Type column to the asset grid, which will show if the asset has an engine type of Gas, Diesel, Hybrid, or Electric. This will be turned off by default but can be enabled via the column selector.

CLEARING FIELDS WHEN ADDING AND EDITING AN ASSET

In the Add/Edit Asset dialog box, we added the ability to clear certain fields that couldn’t be emptied after containing values before: Odometer Reference, Odometer Reference Date, Engine Hours Reference, Engine Hours Reference Date, Install Date, and Uninstall Date. (Note that these could be cleared in legacy iOn, and we are now matching that functionality.) In the calendar pickers, this has been implemented as a Clear button.

DISPLAYING THE LOADING ICON FOR THE FIND NEARBY FEATURE

On the Tracking screen, when you use the Find Nearby feature, the loading icon now will appear when the software is locating fleet vehicles that are near the asset; previously, the grid would instead show “No Results” before it displayed the results.
