IMPROVED IMPLEMENTATION OF MAPPING ASSET HISTORY IN A CERTAIN AREA

We improved the ability to map the history of asset activity in a specific geographic region (also called a boundary report) as follows:

  • Now, you can draw just the boundary and receive results. (Previously, you had to apply another filter before seeing the history.)
  • We removed access to some add-ons that were preventing the boundary report from returning data (due to the feature’s constraints), so CrashBoxx, route matching, and iOn Vision will now be disabled when the Boundary filter is applied.

SAVING TRACKING SCREEN MAP VIEWS

We added a new option to the Tracking screen’s top-right toolbar that will enable you to save a map view () (similar to the Bookmark feature in legacy iOn). You first select the basemap, location, and zoom level you want to save, click this icon, and then provide a name for it. You can quickly return to the view by clicking the icon again and selecting the view’s name.

VIEWING CRASHBOXX DATA

We added a new screen for customers who have purchased the CrashBoxx module, which you access by clicking CrashBoxx in the left sidebar menu. The CrashBoxx page provides a grid with your crash event data, including case ID, severity, when and where the event occurred, the associated device, the speed the vehicle was traveling, and an Actions column that will enable you to view an individual accident’s details.

IMPROVED TRIP LOGIC

We how improved how asset history trips are processed so that they will now handle missing Ignition On and Ignition Off events and still display “true” trips (as best as possible).

PERSISTING ASSET HISTORY REPORT SETTINGS ACROSS USER SESSIONS

Any changes to the Asset History report’s settings you’ve configured will now persist across sessions; for example, if you deselect Show Summary Cards and log out, when you log back in, you’ll see that the summary cards above the Asset History grid are still hidden.

CONTACTING SUPPORT

We made the options for how you can contact Customer Support more visible in the iOn user interface. There is now a Contact Support choice in the drop-down box that appears when you click your username at the top right that will open a dialog box with email and phone details.

IMPROVED FIND NEARBY FEATURE

On the Tracking screen, we improved the Find Nearby option by persisting the icon and label of the location you’ve searched for after results are returned (for reference) and moving the Find Nearby options to the more user-friendly spot of the associated pop-up (instead of covering other important map details).

SHOWING THE BATTERY LEVEL FOR DEVICES THAT AREN’T POWERED BY THE VEHICLE

On the Tracking screen, we added the battery level to the Asset Details panes and asset pop-up windows for TTUs and ATUs that don’t use the vehicle battery as a power source.
