VIEWING UNPAIRED ASSETS AND DEVICES ON THE DASHBOARD
We added a new widget to the Dashboard, Unpaired Assets and Devices, that will show which assets and devices are missing associations. In the left pane are the assets that have no device assigned, and the right pane lists the LMUs and other units that have no associated asset.
In addition, we fixed some design elements and formatting issues on the Dashboard, which will improve your user experience.
SPECIFYING AN ASSET’S DEVICE USING A DETAILED DEVICE GRID
We improved the process of specifying a device when adding or editing an asset. Previously, you could only choose an asset’s LMU from a drop-down list; now, you will open a grid listing all the available devices and their details, which will enable you to filter and choose the unit based on several attributes. This is similar to the Choose Device grid in legacy iOn.
SETTING A DEFAULT LANGUAGE FOR A GROUP
We added the ability for you to specify a default language for a group in the Add/Edit Group dialog box. This will be used for all text related to the group, such as notifications and welcome emails. Users who previously had their browser determine their language (in the Preferences section of My Profile) will now have the group setting as their default. (If you had a specific language chosen, such as Spanish, that selection will persist.)
PROMPTING TO CREATE A GEOFENCE NOTIFICATION AFTER A NEW GEOFENCE IS ADDED
We added a prompt that will ask you if you want to set up a geofence notification after you complete the process of adding a new geofence, if you selected Generate Enter/Exit Events for Reports (and if you have the Admin - Notifications permission). If you choose Set Up Now in the prompt, iOn will launch an Add Notification dialog box, which you can use to create the new alert.
VIEWING ASSET ASSIGNMENTS IN THE TRACKING GRID
We added a new column to the Tracking screen’s Assets grid (which you access by clicking Table View at the top right of the map view), Assignments, which will show the assets’ assignments by name (such as if an asset has an iOn Tag or trailer assigned to it or is the trailer, in which case the name of the vehicle it is assigned to will appear).
UPDATING TRACKING SCREEN DATA EVERY 12 SECONDS
We improved the Tracking screen so that in Normal mode, the asset data in the grid and on the map will be automatically refreshed every 12 seconds. (In Huge Fleet mode, you will still need to manually refresh the page for updates.)
SUPPORTING MORE TIME ZONES
We added support for more time zones, which you specify in the Preferences section of My Profile, the Add/Edit Group dialog box, and the Add/Edit Schedule dialog box.
CHOOSING UK ENGLISH
We added an English (United Kingdom) language option so that British users could choose to use the actual English language instead of American English.
