CREATING GEOFENCES WITH MORE DESCRIPTIVE LANGUAGE
We updated the wording in the Create Geofence widget to provide you with more guidance on how to add a new geofence, including when you enter the address and choose whether the geofence will generate Enter and Exit events. This latter change also included replacing the previous Trigger drop-down list with a more self-explanatory check box.
FINDING ASSETS NEARBY GEOFENCES AND ADDRESSES
We added the Find Nearby option to two map pop-ups — the geofence pop-up that appears when you move your cursor over a geofence’s drawn shape and the address pop-up that is displayed when you use the Search Location widget. This will enable you to locate fleet assets that are near your geofences or a particular location.
NAMED EXCEPTIONS FOR HISTORY LAYER RESULTS
When you map recent and live asset activity using the Tracking screen’s History layer, one of the events listed in the widget’s View by Asset key is Exception, which can be produced by one of several triggers, such as speeding or a harsh event. Previously, when you moved your cursor over one such event icon on the map, its pop-up would have a title of just “Exception”; now, the actual exception name will be the title (such as “Harsh Braking”).
DISABLING NOTIFICATION POP-UPS
We added the ability for you to turn off notification pop-ups by level of urgency to the Preferences section of My Profile. These will be enabled by default.
FORCING ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF URGENT NOTIFICATION POP-UPS
We added an Urgent Notification Pop-ups Must Be Acknowledged toggle to the Add/Edit Group dialog box, which, when selected, will require any urgent alerts received for the group’s entities to be acknowledged in the Notifications panel. When this setting is turned on, an additional option will appear, Enable Notification Alert Sound, which will activate an alarm in iOn when an urgent alert comes in.
