Dashboards provide key information about your fleet's overall performance in an at-a-glance view. When you open them, they will be populated with predetermined data (depending on which one you're opening), but you can customize the displayed results as follows:

Note: The dashboards that will be available for you depend on the modules your organization has purchased, but all customers will have the Asset Utilization dashboard.

For details about the default information on the Asset Utilization dashboard, see Navigating the Asset Utilization Dashboard.

  1. Open the dashboard you want personalized data for by clicking  >> Dashboard and then selecting the dashboard name (such as Asset Utilization) from the Available Dashboards list.

The dashboard will display its default data.

  2. For the Asset Utilization dashboard, you can change the chart types, as follows:
Note: For the Driver Scorecard and Crashboxx dashboards, you can modify only the group or account name and reporting interval, so you can skip down to step 4 or 5, respectively.
    1. Click  at the top left of the panel whose chart you want to change and select Chart Types.

The Select Chart Type window will appear; the type of chart the panel is currently displaying will be highlighted (such as Pie chart in the following figure).

Here is a description of the available chart types:

      • Column and Bar: Displays related sets of values along rectangular bars whose size represents the numbers. Bar charts show the data horizontally, whereas column charts are vertical.

      • Line and Area: Displays the values as a series of data markers on top of straight lines, with a pathline connecting each data point that exhibits the ups and downs. Area charts fill in the area from point to point to visually display the breadth of the information.

      • Dual and Multi-Axis: Displays both column and line charts (given a panel that has multiple measures).

      • Time Series: Displays line and area charts but only for time-based data along the x‑axis.

      • Scatter and Bubble: Displays related sets of values, with the position of the dots/bubbles indicating their values along the x- and y-axis. Scatter plots require exactly two measures, whereas bubble charts require a third measure to provide the size of the bubble (indicating the size of the information at that point).

      • Pie: Displays each value of an overall data set as a piece of a circle, representing its percentage of the whole.

      • Range: Offers both heat map and tree map charts. Heat maps display data differences through the use of varying colors, whereas tree maps present hierarchical data, using large rectangles to represent parent branches and smaller rectangles nesting inside of the parent category to signify subcategories.

    2. Click the icon for the type of chart you'd like.

The data will be presented in the chart you chose (or you'll receive a message saying that the specified type doesn't have the correct number of measurements).

    3. Click  at the top right of the Select Chart Type window to close it.

  3. To change the group or account whose data is displayed, reporting interval, selected assets, and key performance indicator (KPI) for the Asset Utilization dashboard, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Group Name drop-down arrow and select the group with the assets you need results for (or you can leave the default selection of the group you are assigned to).
Note: The top-level group will be the one you're assigned to; you can select it or any subgroups it has.
    2. If you want to see results for just certain assets within the group, click their names in the Asset list.
Note: You can select one or more, and you can use the options at the bottom of the Asset area to select all your assets (All), select no assets (None), or switch your selections to all the ones you haven't clicked (Invert).

To search for an individual asset, click in the Search List field, enter part of the asset name, and then select it in the list.
    3. To change the KPI being displayed in the Asset KPI Ranking and Asset KPI Trend charts, click the KPI drop-down arrow and select one of these choices:

      • Active Days: Displays how many days your assets were active for the chosen reporting interval.

      • Total Engine Time: Reports how many hours your assets' engines were active for the whole of the reporting interval.

      • Total Idle Time: Reports how many hours your assets' engines were idling over the time range.

      • Total Work Time: Show how many work hours your assets reported over the time period.

      • % Utilization: Displays statistics for the percentage of your assets' usage; this is the default KPI for the dashboard.

      • Normal Utilized Time: Displays the number of work hours within the normal workday for the entirety of the reporting interval.

      • Overtime Utilized Time: Displays the number of work hours that count as overtime for the entirety of the reporting interval.

    4. To change the time frame of the dashboard results, click the Reporting Interval drop-down arrow and select Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days (the default setting), Last 30 Days, or Configured Date Range.

If you chose Configured Date Range, specify the beginning and ending of the time period using the From Date and To Date calendar pickers.

    5. Skip down to step 6.
