Dashboards provide key information about your fleet's overall performance in an at-a-glance view. The Asset Utilization dashboard provides charts and graphs that help you visualize how your assets are being used across your fleet.
This article describes the various features of the Asset Utilization dashboard, which you access by clicking >> Dashboard and then selecting Asset Utilization from the Available Dashboards list.
Note: For information about the banner at the top and accordion menu on the left (which you open by clicking ), see Navigating the iOn Site.
The default settings for the dashboard are % Utilization (the usage percentage) key performance indicator (KPI) and a time range of the last seven days. You can change these, plus the type of chart being shown in specific panels, by following the steps in the article Customizing the Dashboard Data.
Asset Utilization Range
At the top left of the dashboard is the Asset Utilization Range pie chart. Each pie wedge of the chart represents a percentage of utilization; for example, in the following figure, the green slice signifies how many assets are being used at 90% or more capacity.
You can hover over a section to see the exact number of assets that have been used over the reporting interval at that percentage. (The default time range is the last seven days, but you can change that as shown in Customizing the Dashboard Data.)
Asset Utilization Trend
To the right of the Asset Utilization Range pie chart is the Asset Utilization Trend column chart. This shows the number of hours your assets (separated by group) were working, idle, and parked for each day of the reporting interval, which by default is the last seven days. (If you change to only one day of results, the number of minutes will be displayed.) Be sure to scroll to the right, if needed, to see more days' results.
You can hover over a column to see the state being reported, the group name, and the number of hours the group's assets were in that state for the whole of the chosen time frame.
Asset KPI Ranking
Just below the Asset Utilization Range pie chart (at the bottom left of the screen) is the Asset KPI Ranking column chart, which by default displays the total utilization percentage for each of your assets over the course of the last seven days, ranked highest to lowest (left to right by asset name). (See Customizing the Dashboard Data for details on changing the key performance indicator shown and reporting interval.)
You can hover over a column to see the asset's name, the KPI being reported, and percentage value for that asset for the whole of the chosen time frame.
Asset KPI Trend
To the right of Asset KPI Ranking is the Asset KPI Trend line chart, which by default displays the total utilization percentage for your groups of assets over the course of the last seven days, day by day, with a pathline connecting each data point to show the ups and downs. (See Customizing the Dashboard Data for details on changing the key performance indicator shown and reporting interval.)
You can hover over a data point to display the date, group names, and utilization percentages of each group for that day.
All your groups will be listed below the chart with a color legend showing which data line belongs to them. If you click a group, its name will become grayed out, and its results will be removed from the chart. The following example shows just a few groups' data pathlines from the earlier selection.
Along the right side of the dashboard is the Options panel. This enables you to change the group whose results are being displayed (by default, this will be the group you are assigned to), the assets, the KPI, and the reporting interval. See Customizing the Dashboard Data for details on how to customize these settings.
