At the top left of the Tracking screen is a Search box. This enables you to search for your assets by name or ESN (electronic serial number) and pinpoint them on the map. In addition, you can locate addresses, your landmarks, or equipment on which you have affixed iOn Tags. To perform a search, follow these steps:

  1. Click  >> Tracking.

    The Tracking screen will open.

  2. Click  at the top left of the map.

The Search box will appear with a ready text cursor.

Note: By default, the search will be for all types of items (assets, addresses, tags, and landmarks); if that's what you want, skip to step 3, but if you want to refine the search to only one type of results, follow these steps:

    1. Click the drop-down arrow.

A drop-down list will appear with these options to limit your search results:

      • Assets: To search for an asset by name.

      • Assets by Device ESN: To search for an asset by its ESN.

      • Landmarks: To search for a landmark by name.

      • Tags: To search for equipment you've placed an iOn Tag on by name (such as Tool 153).

      • Esri World Geocoder: To search for a location by address or place name.

    2. Click the type of results you want.
  3. Type your search criteria in the box.

As you type, possible results will appear below the Search field.

  4. Click the asset, tag, landmark, or address you are looking for.

The map will zoom in on its location and display any available data for it.
